3rd Birthday Camping Party

Every summer our family enjoys to go camping.  Kylie loves to be outside so camping is one of her favorite things to do.  For her 3rd birthday I planned a Camping Party!

Welcome to "Camp Kylie"!
This was Kylie's party invitation I created.  I purchased the cute camping clip art on Etsy from JW Illustrations.  I used the clip art through the party as well.
The dessert table included candy and campfire cupcakes.  I decorated the table with a purple plastic table cloth and burlap.  My handy husband cut log slices to display the treats on.  I made the flag banner out of cardstock and jute.  I created the "Camp Kylie" sign on the computer and printed a poster print at Costco (they have the best photo prices!).  I cut branches from trees in our yard and hot glued them onto the poster print to create a frame.
Our candy treats included "Catch of the Day" or Swedish Fish, "Fish Bait" or gummy worms, Trail Mix and Campfire cupcakes. I displayed the candy in mason jars.  I made the cupcakes and I had a friend help me make the red, yellow, and orange frosting to look like little flames!  I decorated the tables with camping lanterns, bandanas, and pine cones.
For lunch we had BBQ hotdogs, watermelon, chips and lemonade!  I purchased fun road signs (like the food one above the table) at Oriental Trading along with all the tableware.  For favors I created a "S'more to Go".  I placed two graham crackers, large marshmallow, and a mini Hershey bar in a clear treat bag with the label.  For a game we had a "Camp Kylie Nature Scavenger Hunt".  I created the label on the lunch bag on the computer.  The kids loved looking for the nature items in the back yard!
For fun we set up a pretend camp site which included tents, pretend camp fire, picnic table, and even a fishing hole!
My favorite part of the party was making s'mores!  We had a s'more station set up....the kids could help themselves to the chocolate, graham crackers, and marshmallows to roast over our fire pit.
Our "Mountain Princess" had fun camping in our own backyard for her 3rd birthday!  We loved having our friends and family come over for "Camp Kylie"!
